Child Safety Standards

Published child safety standards for the fae app and fae.link, including our zero-tolerance prohibition of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

Effective and last updated: July 17, 2026

Who this covers

These standards apply to the fae mobile app published on Google Play and the App Store by Friends for Humanity, Inc., and to the fae.link web service. They cover every user and all content sent, received, or displayed through the service. fae is intended for adults and requires users to be at least 18 years old.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

fae has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit, without exception:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including real, manipulated, or computer-generated imagery.
  • Grooming, sexual extortion (sextortion), or any sexual solicitation of a minor.
  • Sexualization of minors, including text, imagery, or links that depict or describe minors in a sexual manner.
  • Using the service to arrange, promote, facilitate, or celebrate the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.

Content or behavior that violates these standards is removed and the responsible accounts are terminated.

How we enforce these standards

  • In-app reporting and blocking on every chat and message.
  • Automated and human review of reported and flagged content.
  • Immediate removal of violating content and termination of violating accounts.
  • Reporting apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperating with law enforcement, as required by applicable law.
